Look forward to downloading and giving this a go.
Edit: And it is awesome. Just needs 8 bit sound track/effects to go with it (and perhaps a little inter-tile tweening when moving, but that'll be beyond the engine if I'm not mistaken). Cardinal Quest has spoiled me
The only thing I've noticed so far is that bloats look a bit too much like a dungeon feature instead of a monster. Not sure how you could address this - the spite is just a touch too symetrical though for it to be immediately apparent that it is out to kill you. Speeding up the animation on this tile would also help but I'm not sure whether it is possible.

I also posted a direct link to your site as a comment.
fugori wrote:Love it! The small size makes it actually playable on my laptop! At first I thought that scrolls were toads but I've overcome that little hurdle and so far everything is quite nice. I still think I ultimately prefer ascii, but I love how this tileset takes advantage of Brogue's own colors and effects.

"Should I bother trying to get this to work with a 1280x800 screen. Also, any love for the OSX version yet?"
